-
compliance with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or safety obligations;

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal. If you withdraw consent for information needed to provide the Services, we may no longer be able to provide some or all of the Services.
8. Sensitive health-related information
Because the Services involve blood sugar, blood pressure, weight, symptoms, and related tracking information, some information may be sensitive.
We collect and use this information only for purposes connected to providing, supporting, improving, securing, or analyzing the Services, or as otherwise disclosed to you or permitted by law.
We do not intentionally collect diagnosis, medication dose changes, prescriptions, lab results, clinician notes, insurance claims, or formal medical records in the app unless the service is later changed and appropriate notices, safeguards, and consents are provided.
9. App messages, reminders, and safety-related notices
Telecare may use the information you provide to send reminders, app messages, support messages, or safety-related notices. These messages are for information and support only. They are not a diagnosis, treatment decision, prescription decision, or emergency response system.
No message from the app means that your health is safe. If you are concerned about your health, contact your healthcare provider. If you have severe symptoms or think you may have an emergency, seek urgent medical care immediately.
10. AI use
Telecare may use artificial intelligence or automated tools to support service delivery, prepare summaries, improve user experience, assist internal operations, or improve the Services.
AI-supported content is for information and support only. It may be incomplete or inaccurate. It does not diagnose, prescribe, recommend medication changes, or replace your doctor or healthcare provider.
Where practical, Telecare will use safeguards designed to limit unnecessary personal information in AI-supported workflows.
11. How we share information
We may share information with the following categories of recipients.
11.1 Service providers and technology vendors
We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate, host, secure, support, analyze, improve, and deliver the Services. These may include providers for website hosting, app delivery, cloud storage, workflow tools, email or messaging delivery, payment processing, analytics, customer support, security, and artificial intelligence features.
These providers may process information on our behalf or in connection with providing their services to us. We aim to share only the information reasonably needed for those purposes.
11.2 Telecare staff and authorized contractors
Authorized Telecare staff and approved contractors may access information only as needed to provide, support, secure, or improve the Services.
We use role-based and need-to-know access where practical.
11.3 Healthcare providers
We do not routinely share your app data with a healthcare provider unless:
-
you ask us to do so;
-
you participate in a service that clearly includes clinician review or provider communication;
-
sharing is needed for a safety-related follow-up and legally permitted;
-
sharing is required by law.
You remain responsible for sharing your readings with your own doctor or healthcare provider unless a separate service arrangement says otherwise.
11.4 Legal, safety, and compliance disclosures
We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:
-
comply with law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or lawful request;
-
protect the rights, safety, or property of users, Telecare, or others;
-
investigate fraud, misuse, security incidents, or technical problems;
-
enforce our Terms;
-
respond to emergencies or serious safety concerns where permitted by law.
11.5 Business transfers
If Telecare is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal protections where required.
11.6 Aggregated or de-identified information
We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.
12. What we do not do
Telecare does not:
-
sell your personal health information;
-
use your personal health information for third-party advertising;
-
intentionally publish your identifiable readings;
-
tell third parties that you have a specific condition for advertising purposes;
-
allow public access to your individual app data;
-
claim that app alerts are clinician-reviewed unless that is true.
13. Cookies, analytics, and tracking
Our websites may use cookies, pixels, tags, or similar technologies for:
-
site functionality;
-
analytics;
-
security;
-
form performance;
-
marketing source tracking;
-
referral and campaign tracking.
We may use Google Analytics or similar tools to understand website traffic and improve our services. These tools may collect device, browser, IP, and usage information. Third-party analytics providers may process information according to their own policies.
Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies. Some website functions may not work properly if cookies are disabled.
14. Data storage and international transfers
Telecare is based in Belize. We may store or process information in Belize and in other countries where our technology providers, hosting providers, email providers, analytics providers, payment providers, or support providers operate.
Data protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your country.
By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in Belize and other countries as necessary to provide and support the Services.
15. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
These safeguards may include access controls, staff procedures, security settings, trusted service providers, monitoring, testing, and other measures appropriate for the nature of the Services.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure will never occur.
You are responsible for protecting your email account, device, login link, passwords, PINs, and app access.
16. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Our current intended retention approach is:
-
account and profile information: while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure;
-
user-entered readings and app-generated tracking data: while your account is active and for up to 24 months after account closure or inactivity, unless you request deletion earlier and deletion is legally and operationally permitted;
-
billing, payment, accounting, tax, and business records: up to 7 years or as required by applicable law;
-
support, audit, security, and operational logs: as long as reasonably needed for security, dispute resolution, compliance, quality improvement, or legal purposes;
-
backups: until overwritten or deleted according to our vendors’ normal backup cycles.
We may retain aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information indefinitely, provided it does not reasonably identify you.
Telecare should review and confirm these retention periods before publication.
17. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:
-
ask whether we process your personal information;
-
request access to your personal information;
-
request a copy of your personal information;
-
correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
-
request deletion of information;
-
restrict certain processing;
-
object to certain processing;
-
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
-
request data portability where applicable;
-
object to direct marketing;
-
lodge a complaint with the applicable data protection authority.
To make a request, contact us at support@telecare.biz or info@telecare.biz.
We may need to verify your identity before responding. We may not be able to fulfill a request if doing so would violate law, affect another person’s rights, compromise security, interfere with legal claims, or require deletion of records we are legally required or permitted to keep.
18. Deleting your account or data
You may request account closure or deletion of your personal information.
If you request deletion:
-
you may lose access to the app;
-
we may retain certain records where required or permitted by law;
-
deletion from backups may take additional time based on vendor backup cycles;
-
aggregated or de-identified data may be retained.
19. Communications preferences

Even if you opt out of promotional messages, we may still send:

If we become aware of a personal data breach or security incident, we will investigate and take reasonable steps to contain, assess, and remediate the issue.
Where required by applicable law, we will notify the relevant regulator and affected individuals within legally required timelines.
